What are your hours?

Do you accept new clients?

How often should my pet have a wellness exam?

We recommend at least one wellness exam per year for most adult dogs and cats. Senior pets — dogs over 7 and cats over 10 — benefit from exams every six months. Puppies and kittens need more frequent visits during their first year of life for their initial vaccine series.

Does Southwest Pet Hospital have an in-house laboratory?

Yes! Our in-house laboratory allows us to run bloodwork, heartworm tests, urinalysis, fecal testing, and more — with results available in minutes. This means faster diagnoses and faster treatment for your pet without sending samples to an outside lab.

What vaccinations does my pet need?

Core vaccines for dogs include rabies and the DHPP combination. Core vaccines for cats include rabies and FVRCP. Does Southwest Pet Hospital offer parasite prevention?

Yes. We strongly recommend year-round parasite prevention for all pets in Arkansas, where heartworm, fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites are active year-round due to our warm, humid climate. We carry and recommend a variety of safe, effective prevention products for dogs and cats.

Do you offer dental cleanings for pets?

Yes. Professional dental cleanings are one of the most important services we offer. Dental disease affects the majority of dogs and cats over age three and can lead to serious systemic health issues if left untreated. We recommend annual dental exams for most pets.

Can I get my pet microchipped at Southwest Pet Hospital?
